We support efficient micropayments: powered by Human tokens (HMT) & launching across the Ethereum mainnet, we believe The Human Protocol can continue scaling to reach to billions of tasks and users per day.

Our API extends the standard EIP20 token interface, enabling efficient one-to-many payments, and allowing up to 50x more efficient micropayments via message packing we can enable new use cases with more rapid settlement.

Proof of Balance

Proof of Balance is designed to benefit more invested participants and increase attack resilience without discouraging new participants in our network.

In Proof of Stake each participant must buy & transfer tokens, increasing cost and friction.

We designed a new way to address this problem so that holding a greater number of tokens allows users to access a greater variety of job transactions, thereby creating a more robust network.

The Three Oracles

For The Human Protocol to function, it is essential to provide information from the outside world to execute agreements.  Blockchain Oracles provide a link between off-chain and on-chain data. 

Oracles are third-party services that form bridges between blockchains and the outside world.  They can not only relay information to the smart contract, but can also send data back to external sources.

  • The Reputation Oracle — Reputation Oracles oversee the full network and have access to the comprehensive dataset -- they make the final evaluation of answer quality and reputation score for a job, and pay bounties.
  • The Reputation Oracle passes a fraction of its data to a Recording Oracle to work on, holding a portion of the data back for validation.
  • The Recording Oracle — Recording Oracles​ collect answers and provide a rolling evaluation of answer quality. Similarly, Recording Oracles pass a subset of their data to Exchange Oracles.
  • The Exchange Oracle — The Exchange Oracle is the interface you interact with when you answer a question.
